Here
are two guys who have it made. Or have made it. Pictured here
are Jim from The Candy Corner and Jack from The Candy Man inspecting
a fresh batch of chocolate covered something on "Lucy"
their new employee. Actually Lucy is an "enrober"
which coats candy centers as they run along a conveyor. Although
it looks complicated, if these two can run it...
Running
high above the crowd inside The Candy Corner is the "Chocolate
Choo Choo." The "G" scale train is new this season
and chugs around just below the ceiling with bridges, trees and
stations lining the tracks. We dedicate this to our friend Bob
Blake, and give a special thanks to Dickie and Eddie for their
help in constructing this for us.
If
you see either of these two men call the police. . . Just kidding!
They are armed with lots of candy and chocolates which some might
consider extremely dangerous! John (older handsome fatherly
man on left) and Jim (younger more handsome son on right) are pictured
here at The Candy Corner in York Beach. Everyday during the
summer months these two gentlemen along with Agnes (wife & mother)
are making some sort of delicious candy. Agnes can usually
be seen making our famous fudge, Jim is found in the chocolate kitchen
making turtles and other chocolate dipped treats, and John can been
seen (and heard) front and center when you walk in the store making
new friends everyday! These three along with a great staff
make The Candy Corner a fun place to visit on your trip to York
Beach.
From
left to right: Agnes, Johnny, Eddie Andelman, "The Fabulous"
Judy, and Jim. For those of you who don't know Eddie is Boston's
best and most well know sports radio personality. This picture
was taken while Eddie and his wife Judi were on a day trip to
York Beach (to enjoy a few sweets!). We would like to thank
them for stopping by for a fun filled visit! Eddie can be heard
weekdays from 12 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on AM station 1510 THE ZONE.
